The Jim Bowie Jewel

I grew up at a Town named the Jim Bowie Jewel.

The Jewel was Silver, and there is Silver in them hills.

There was even a Song about Silver.

It was named "The Song of Silver." It was a Play. A Musical. Intense dialogue, followed with Musical Singing after each scene. It was after all, set in the Context of Jim having frequented his Jewel. The Stage was an Amphitheater, in the Silver hills. For some time the People of the Jim Bowie Jewel put the play on. People came from all over to see the Song of Silver.   That all ended in the 1990's for various reasons.

That was also a time when the County that the Jim Bowie Jewel is in,  then produced the most sheep in the World, which went on for decades before. Before Sheep, it was Cattle. Cattle Drives. Tens of thousands of Cattle going through the middle of town when they were driven.

Back to the Republic of Texas, and then back before the Republic to the 1400's. The Presidio attests.

Spain was sneaky. They mixed their blood lines with the American Indian blood line of Mexico. There are two parts of America. South, and North. The Americas, just as the Tower in San Antonio alludes. The Tower of Americas. That is how the Spanish Word Mestizo came to be. So did Conquistador. With Rec-conquistador mentalities overlayed onto the Mestizo American Indian/Mexican. That is the mentality that Spain engendered long ago.

The History of the geographical location known as Texas now, is complicated. Most of the really interesting History is passed down from word of mouth through the generations. For after all, its the American Indian way. Story tellers. There are lots to tell too.

Spain was sneaky.
